Be Weary Of Applying For Unknown Financial Accounts Online

For my first financial post, I will not begin to discuss ways to make money but instead ways to protect yourself from certain scams that you may come across while you are online. Most of these scams target those that are in great need of financial accounts, like credit cards or loans, but do not have the credit to obtain them easily. Bad credit credit cards and bad credit loans are usually terms that these cyber criminals will target.

When you have a poor credit rating, it can be almost impossible to get a loan or regular credit card, those of you that are in need of these types of accounts will most likely turn to the internet to look for answers. I assure you that you will find many answers, the trick it to distinguish the scams from the legitimate offers.

The first thing that you will want to be aware of is phising. This is a forum of trickery where the website attempts to get sensitive information from you by promising things, like loans or credit cards, that do not exist. This is very serious because it will most likely lead to identity theft and your finances will be left in ruins.

Something else that you will want to be aware of are companies that promise to provide you with a card or loan but actually are gathering information in order to sell it at a profit. Though this may not be as bad as stealing your identity, you can expect a lot of garbage to be sent to both your residential address and your personal email.

This is pretty much all of the main dangers that you will come across when looking to get financial accounts online. I highly suggest that you either visit a local bank or lending institution or only visit sites from companies that you have come to know and trust. This is the best way to void getting scammed online.

The Lansom Project

Hello friends, my name is Lansom and I am a Human Recourse Manager for a large credit card company that is based in San Francisco California. I am currently traveling on business in Germany, which would explain why it took me several hours to setup this blog :).

This is a project that I am starting to inform individuals about the risks that many of you may be dealing with when it comes to various aspects of finance and money.

There are a few things that you should know about me before you read this blog. I have been very interested in finances for well over two decades and I have managed to build up quite a bit of savings due to wise investing and careful saving. I am willing to share my expertise with you as long as you are willing to accept my flaws.

Though I have been living in the United States for several years, I am originally from Jaipur India and my English may not be perfect and might be a bit difficult to read at times.

I also travel quite a bit because of my work and there may be large intervals of time between posts.

Aside from that, I hope that you enjoy what I have to share.
